Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action---
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake

Insight into Decision Making ....
A Forward Mail... I thought I shouldn't edit even a single line before posting. Read, think, apply and enjoy!
A group of children were playing near two railway tracks, one still in use while the other disused. Only one child played on the disused track, the rest on the operational track.
The train is coming, and you are just beside the track interchange.You can make the train change its course to the disused track and save most of the kids. However, that would also mean the lone child playing by the disused track would be sacrificed. Or would you rather let the train go its way?
Let's take a pause to think what kind of decision we could make...
Most people might choose to divert the course of the train, and sacrifice only one child. You might think the same way, I guess.
Exactly, to save most of the children at the expense of only one child was rational decision most people would make, morally and emotionally.
But, have you ever thought that the child choosing to play on the disused track had in fact made the right decision to play at a safe place?
Nevertheless, he had to be sacrificed because of his ignorant friends who chose to play where the danger was. This kind of dilemma happens around us everyday. In the office, community, in politics and especially in a democratic society, the minority is often sacrificed for the interest of the majority, no matter how foolish or ignorant the majority are, and how farsighted and knowledgeable the minority are. The child who chose not to play with the rest on the operational track was sidelined. And in the case he was sacrificed, no one would shed a tear for him.
The great critic Leo Velski Julian who told the story said he would not try to change the course of the train because he believed that the kids playing on the operational track should have known very well that track was still in use, and that they should have run away if they heard the train's sirens.. If the train was diverted, that lone child would definitely die because he never thought the train could come over to that track! Moreover, that track was not in use probably because it was not safe. If the train was diverted to the track, we could put the lives of all passengers on board at stake! And in your attempt to save a few kids by sacrificing one child, you might end up sacrificing hundreds of people to save these few kids.
While we are all aware that life is full of tough decisions that need to be made, we may not realize that hasty decisions may not always be the right one.
'Remember that what's right isn't always popular... and what's popular isn't always right.'
Everybody makes mistakes; that's why they put erasers on pencils.

Veronika Decides to Die
Simply written with prose that is almost dreamlike in its quality, Veronika Decides to Die explores life in the face of death, the meaning of insanity, and the importance of following one’s dreams. Coelho’s message in this novel seems to be one of following one’s dreams, going against the norm, living life to its fullest.
As each character comes face to face with his or her own mortality, they are forced to look back on their lives and explore their failed dreams. They also ponder God and faith.
Everyone will enjoy reading Veronika Decides to Die because it makes us to think of our own dreams and life path.

The story goes like this, Veronika is a young, beautiful woman from Ljubljana, Slovenia who appears to have the perfect life, but nevertheless decides to commit suicide by ingesting too many sleeping pills. While she waits to die, she decides to read a magazine. After seeing an article in the magazine which wittily asks "Where is Slovenia?," she decides to write a letter to the press justifying her suicide, the idea being to make the press believe that she has killed herself because people don't even know where Slovenia is. Her plan fails and she wakes up in Villete, a mental hospital in Slovenia, where she is told she has a week to live.
Her presence there affects all of the mental hospital's patients, especially Zedka, who has clinical depression; Mari, who suffers from panic attacks; and Eduard, who has schizophrenia, and with whom Veronika falls in love. During her internment in Villete she realises that she has nothing to lose and can therefore do what she wants, say what she wants and be who she wants without having to worry about what others think of her; as a mental patient, she is unlikely to be criticized. Because of this new found freedom Veronika experiences all the things she never allowed herself to experience, including hatred, love and sexual awakening.
In the meantime, Vilette's head psychiatrist, Dr. Igor, attempts a fascinating but provocative experiment. Can you "shock" someone into wanting to live by convincing her that death is imminent? Like a doctor applying defibrillator paddles to a heart attack victim, Dr. Igor's "prognosis" jump-starts Veronika's new appreciation of the world around her.

ఎంచక్కా Oneway ప్రేమని life long చెప్పుకుంటూ పోవచ్చు.

Above picture is a page of wedding invitation of a close friend. Just like his thoughts the card is also a much matured one… For people who can’t understand Telugu here is a free lance translation of above. Though I may fail to translate the exact feel, I tried my best to convey the message…
“Marriage, more than a delightful occasion, more than a process of couple of days, is a legally acknowledged societal association. Being the root for family system, this relation is essential for human society’s augmentation.
A Marriage should happen based on like & dislikes of the couple involved. Their ideas, thought processes should match. They need to get closer with love and honour.
They should have proper understanding about equality of man and woman. They must mutually respect the individualities. They should trust one another and solve problems that appear with joint opinions and deliberations.
In this relation one must leave the feelings of supremacy. None of them are instructor or follower. They must not try to command or control the other.
'Dowry' is an ill-social practice. Dowry in form of presents, compensations and formalities in marriages will make the alliance into a money based affinity. These things will link life of a girl with money and can potentially lead into discrimination of gender. It is shame for a girl to give dowry though she has money to buy her husband. It is worth to note that a guy who voluntarily rejects dowry is a reformer and Girl who says ‘NO’ to a guy who wants dowry is self dignified. "
People who know both languages pardon me for mistakes if any. Corrections are welcome…
